Green architecture - or green design - is the name attributed to the growing trend of creating designs with the intention of minimising any harmful side-effects of new projects on both human health and the environment alike. One such consideration is the products being specified for these modern projects - and that’s where MultiBal is already making a difference.
Environmental friendliness is a concern that was at the very heart of MultiBal products from their inception. Engineered from aluminium - which has a low environmental impact - all of our balconies and balustrades contain 75% recycled material, and are completely recyclable at the end of their life. Additionally, the longevity and hard-wearing nature of aluminium means it lasts much longer than other substances, due to its exceptional corrosion-resistant properties.

There is now greater focus on restoring buildings that are capable of being reused rather than demolishing complete structures and rebuilding from scratch as standard. Plumbing fixtures are being adapted to be more efficient and conservative with their use of water without harming performance, saving natural resources from being overused or wasted.
By only using natural resources that have come from responsible sources, issues such as mass deforestation can be tackled. Sustainable woods are becoming increasingly commonplace, allowing for the material to stay in use without harmful environmental impact. This wood can then be used toward building cladding and timber frame homes in a sustainable manner.
New buildings are being specifically engineered with sophisticated ventilation included to maximise the efficiency of maintaining the internal temperature. By reducing the need for central heating and air conditioning - and therefore overall energy use - dependency on electricity and power is lessened.
